0-60 in 3.9 seconds!

Speed check - Dag tested the new company Tesla this week. 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. We're hoping that they'll make this his new company car! :) Chancing are slim, but it sure made for a sweet night out. 100% electrified speed!

new sewing projects

Here are a few new sewing projects. I have a love affair/obsession with Amy Butler fabrics. I just bought 12 yards on ebay that is on its way to me as I type - Yippy! (shhh...don't tell Dag - 12 YARDS!!) I just finished another baby blanket using one of my favorite Amy Butler fabrics (see below).

I also just made two pairs of pants for my friend Leah's boys. I finally bought a pattern and what a difference it made! :) I made a matching stylish bib for Aksel who just turned 1 and is teething. Riis, quite unhappily, modeled it for me.

Mustard fields

We finally got out to take pics in the mustard fields before they are harvested. SO AMAZING!

Skov

We spent Saturday morning in the forest (skov) near our house. It's such a beautiful time of year there!

Masterpiece

The kids painted this masterpiece for us. They rock.

Balancing bike

Our friends Johnny and Annelie, so nicely, let us borrow this balancing bike for Beck. After our tricycle experience to school I decided that he really needs to learn how to ride a bike. He was so excited to use this one!! He rode around yesterday afternoon for a long time with the biggest smile on his face, singing! Bliss!
I see you, Mum!

Biking weekend Goslar, Germany

Dag had a biking weekend in Germany with two friends, so we made it a family adventure. We drove 5 hours south of us and had a fabulous weekend with friends. Riis rekindled his love for the 12 year old Clarissa, the boys got their Nintendo fix for the next 3 years (thanks to Clarissa's borrowed pink Nintendo DS), Dag got in around 12 hours of biking in 3 days and I got to sit and enjoy cappucino while watching the boys run around in the Goslar town square 3 days in a row! And an added bonus was the hotel had a swimming pool, hot tub and saunas!

Probably one of my favorite pictures of Beck - Why The Face?

Nice face. Can I take a serious picture?
This house has such character!
The Mediæval Imperial Palace of Goslar (Kaiserpfalz), built in the 11th century and renovated in 1864!

Sleepy Beck!

Beck was extremely tired this night, as you can see, but he hadn't had dinner and I really wanted him to eat before he went to bed. It probably was a better idea to let the poor guy just go to sleep...

Børnehaven - roasting bread

The kids all roasted bread on a stick at school last week in the outside firepit. Such a cool thing for them!
